Kim moved frequently during her childhood but spent most summers at her grandparents' ranch in Keha Paha County. She attended Chadron State College and graduated from the University of Nebraska at Kearney in 2010. Kim and her husband have five grown children and two Bichon Frises. They enjoy camping with their family and love spending time with their children.
